
Allan Johnson received the Young Researcher Award in Experimental Physics, presented by the Royal Spanish Society of Physics and the BBVA Foundation, at a ceremony held at the Royal Academy of Exact, Physical, and Natural Sciences on December 4.
The jury highlighted his experimental work in ultrafast physics. The award recognizes Johnson’s innovative contributions to attosecond pulse generation technology and the application of ultrafast science to the study of complex materials.
Since 2007, the Royal Spanish Physics Society-BBVA Foundation Physics Awards have been presented annually to recognize creativity, dedication, and achievement in the field of physics, with the aim of encouraging professionals working in research, secondary and university education, innovation, technology, and public outreach.
